Welcome to My Story
Lisa
HI, I’M LISA,
the licensing artist and surface designer behind Lisee Ree Designs. I am a wife, mother of 4, and creator. I love reading literature (I’m a book snob), gardening (tomatoes are my plant babies), and lots of time by myself (hello fellow introverts).
In college, I was exposed to design, but thought it was too late to pursue it since I was nearly done with my degree. I was wrong—its never too late. I’ve spent the last few years painting, building patterns, and practicing a lot to find my style and put the foundational pieces into place before officially starting Lisee Ree Designs. I'm so glad that time has finally come.

I also had over 100 patterns licensed for fabric during this time which taught me about creating collections, designing to parameters, and learning my audience.
One of the most important things I learned growing up was what “home” felt like. I’ve found that feeling in people, places, and things--an unexplained connection to the heart and soul of someone, someplace, or something. I feel peace and calm when I'm at home. Capturing a small part of that feeling in my work is my way of connecting with the world around me. I want to capture the magic in the ordinary because that's where home is.
As you click around, get comfy and make yourself at home. Together we can make something beautiful.
Things I Love

Being Home
I'm definitely a home body. Give me a quiet house and some time alone to rejuvenate or create and I'm a happy girl. If you're an introvert, you know what I mean, right?

Painting
I love the feeling of a brush on paper. I love gradients (which is why I love watercolor so much). I love the blending and the way something so beautiful came from nothing.
Sewing
Sewing was my passion for over a decade, and it still brings me joy. Sewing also brought me back to design since I wanted to sew with fabric I created, and I'm go grateful I followed that pull.

Gardening
In summer, you'll find me wandering the garden several times a day--checking on my plant babies (especially the tomatoes and flowers). I love a good walk through the nursery, too.
