I’m so excited to share something close to my heart—my collaboration with Kindly Woven. They create heirloom-quality woven blankets from artist designs, and I had the joy of bringing two of my patterns to life through their craft.

Seeing my artwork transformed into woven texture has been such a meaningful experience, and I’m honored to be featured in their Artist Spotlight, where we talked about inspiration, design, and what home means to me.

Here's an excerpt from the feature: "There’s a quiet kind of art that lingers: simple, steady, and easy to live with. That’s the feeling behind Lisa Mabey’s work. Her designs don’t shout for attention. They offer it gently, through flowing botanicals, balanced forms, and a palette that feels calm and familiar. Rooted in a deep love for nature and the everyday beauty around her, her work carries a spirit of gentle observation. It’s graceful but grounded, intricate without losing its sense of ease. With Kindly Woven, Lisa has brought that sensibility to cloth, translating her painterly vision into two woven designs that feel as comforting as they are composed."

I loved that description of my work, and found it to be so accurate. You'll have to head over and read the rest--it's quite good.

There’s something special about a woven blanket, and it's different than what makes a other blankets memorable. It’s more than just cozy—it’s a piece of art you can wrap around your shoulders, drape over a chair, or pass down to someone you love. There's a uniqueness about the My designs always start with the idea of belonging and creating spaces that feel alive, and Kindly Woven has a way of capturing that feeling in every thread. These artist-designed throw blankets hold both beauty and story.

Let me introduce you to the two woven blankets we created together.

The Isobel Woven Blanket

The Isobel Blanket was inspired by the gentle, painterly florals that I return to again and again in my work. The thistle tones bring a soft depth, balanced by the quiet elegance of the floral forms. To me, Isobel feels like walking through a garden at dusk—peaceful, grounding, and just a touch romantic. It’s perfect for layering on a bed or curling up with a cup of tea.

The May Woven Blanket

The May Blanket carries a bit more playfulness. Its bramble-inspired design brings movement and life, with winding, organic shapes that feel like nature stretching toward the sun. I love how this design brings in a sense of energy while still feeling timeless. It’s the kind of blanket that feels at home in a reading nook, tossed over a sofa, or taken outside for a crisp evening under the stars.

Collaborating with Kindly Woven has been such a joy. Their dedication to craftsmanship and storytelling through design mirrors so much of what I value in my own work. These woven blankets from artist designs aren’t just made to look beautiful—they’re meant to be lived with, to gather memories, and to become part of the rhythm of home.

I’d love for you to take a peek at the feature article and explore both the Isobel and May blankets. I hope they bring warmth, comfort, and a touch of artistry into your home.
